Book Daniel Defoe - Women Pirates

Mary Read (1690-1720) and Anne Bonny (circa 1705-1782) are the two most famous female pirates in history. Their epic has crossed the centuries and has largely impregnated the collective imagination. Daniel Defoe was the first to recount the eventful lives of these "wolves of the sea" (Zoé Valdès) in Histoire générale des plus fameux pirates, under the pseudonym of "Captain Johnson".
