Operation Winds of Wrath:

In August 2021, Sea Shepherd France launched Operation Winds of Anger. The large-scale deployment of massive offshore wind farm projects with disregard for marine biodiversity, as is currently the case in France, is a source of great concern for scientists.

Successive governments have continued to sacrifice marine biodiversity to these projects presented as essential in the fight against climate change, an aberration when we know that the marine ecosystem is the primary organ of climate regulation.

Sea Shepherd is taking action on the subject with a multifaceted approach:

Presence at sea to fulfill a whistleblower role
Media coverage and public awareness
National and European legal remedies
Discussions with various stakeholders in the sector to find solutions that help preserve marine biodiversity.
