Marco Stanley Fogg recounts here the strange circumstances that marked his life, from his arrival in New York in 1965 until, seven years later, he discovers the identity of his father… just in time to attend his funeral. And his loves, his encounters, his misery, his wanderings in the mythical landscapes of the dreamed-of America constitute the material of a formidable adventure novel at the same time as they appear as the stages of an initiatory journey to the edges of solitude and dereliction.
