In forty years we have lost 50% of the mammals on the planet. If we do nothing, scientists warn, our very existence will be jeopardized in the decades to come. Yes, but what can we do? And how?
Paul Watson, a modern pirate, environmentalist and animal lover since the age of eleven, was consecutively co-founder of Greenpeace, then founder of Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, an organization defending the oceans and their inhabitants. During his years of combat, he implemented many strategies to fight against predators of marine animals. Thanks to this true “art of war” applied to ecology, he managed the feat of saving the lives of tens of thousands of whales, hundreds of thousands of dolphins and millions of seals without ever injuring one of his “adversaries” or one of the members of his crew.
